It is the primary responsibility of the Ministry of Labour to ensure that workplaces comply with Ontario’s Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and related legislation. The RCDSO has been informing and advising Dental Professionals that inspections will be forthcoming; dentists, as employers, should ensure their offices are in compliance. This full-day program will provide participants with the knowledge and tools required to prepare for that day, including:
• A basic understanding of health and safety legislation and how it applies to them.
• Knowledge of how to use the basic principles of health and safety •recognition, assessment and control- to determine and prioritize their specific organizational health and safety hazards.
• Information , tools, checklists and resources needed to develop, document and implement a health and Safety program, which at a minimum, meets legal compliance requirements.

Pamela Davis has worked the field of occupational health, safety and wellness for over 20 years. She is a Registered Nurse, Certified Occupational Health Nurse, and Canadian Registered Safety Professional. She has a Certificate in Business Administration. Pam established her company, Work.n.Well , in 2002 to meet the needs of small to medium size businesses for customized , affordable health, safety, and work li f e consulting services that would assist them in ensuring compliance with applicable legislation.

Greg Johnson has specialized in the First Aid and Safety equipment field for over 19 years. As a St. John Ambulance Instructor he has been able to bring his extensive product knowledge to clients to assist their understanding of workplace legislative requirements and determining their product and training needs.
