Caries Risk Assessment – Good for Your Patients, Good for Your Practice
Description: This program will introduce clinicians to Caries Management by Risk Assessment; a process of care to determine strategies to prevent and manage caries infection. A review of various assessment tools will be presented, along with specific agents to prevent and treat caries. Discussing current protocols and therapies will provide attendees with the necessary tools to implement into their practices the best in minimally invasive approaches to care.
1) Learn methods to implement a caries risk assessment program in your practice.
2) Review the recommended treatment protocols for low, moderate and high risk patients.
3) Learn how to empower and influence patients via their individual caries risk and the choices available for the best approach to care.
After working in general and periodontal practices, Ellen Neuenfeldt made the transition to corporate America and is currently a Professional Relations Manager for 3M ESPE. Besides being involved in the area of prevention, she also holds responsibilities within the impressioning and temporization portfolios. Neuenfeldt has written articles on preventive products and presents CE programs on risk assessments to study clubs, universities and dental hygiene components.
